43-year-old Wayne Harper thought that he wasted the time spent together when he found out that his girlfriend of 18 months, Emily Horne, was actually married to five men.
And it does not stop there, as his girlfriend turns out to have another lover, other than him.
Their relationship started when Harper and Horne met up when they were both in the hospital together.
He was in after a cycling accident and she was in recovery from a minor operation.
After they’d been together for more than a year he accused her of cheating on him, ending their relationship.
“I split up with her, it was my doing because I found out she was cheating on me.
“I was only with her for 18 months and it was not a happy ending.
“I have nothing left of her in my life, no pictures, nothing.
He called time off on the relationship after this discovery but promised his girlfriend that he’d stand by her so long as she remained loyal.
However, the relationship ended and the girlfriend then went on marrying two more men, making her one of Britain’s most prolific bigamists.
In case you’ve lost track, that’s seven husbands in total.
Harper recalled that “he was her partner not a husband and at the time she had five husbands.”
He continued saying that Horne even had to moved in with him and his family at the time of the break-up because she had nowhere else to go, for six months.
Horne first got married when she was 18 years old, in 1996.
Her first husband was Paul Rigby. Her second husband was Sean Cunningham, followed by Simon Thorpe, then married Chris Barrett while she was still engaged, before marrying James Matthews.
The police became involved after she was cautioned for bigamy back in 2001 while working in the adult industry.
In May 2007, Horne married again, this time to a man from Rochdale called Ashley Baker.
Her last wo marriages were to Stuart Allen in 2010 and Craig Hadwin in 2011.
It’s a huge web and definitely one bizarre mess.
